Frequently asked questions
Here you'll find answers to the most common questions about carbon footprint assessments, GHG reporting obligations, and how Keewe helps companies meet French and European regulatory requirements including the CSRD and CBAM frameworks.
Is it mandatory to have a carbon footprint summary?
Any company that wishes to assess their carbon footprint may do so, but GHG assessments are mandatory for:
Companies in French overseas departments with 250 or more employees,
Companies in mainland France with 500 or more employees,
French public legal entities with 250 or more employees,
And all local authorities for areas of France with a population of 50,000 or more.
What is the difference between GHG and carbon footprint assessments?
GHG assessment is a regulatory obligation limited to significant greenhouse gas emissions, not covering all Scope 3.
Carbon Footprint® (bilan carbone) is the ADEME method from 2004, a risk-based approach requiring quantification of all 3 scopes, with a transition plan to reduce emissions.
Is my data secure?
Keewe complies with current regulations (notably the European Payment Directive DSP 2) and follows ANSSI recommendations.
We use advanced tools from major tech providers and conduct regular penetration tests (internal & external).
Does my Keewe carbon footprint assessment meet regulatory requirements?
Yes. Keewe offers a range of carbon solutions, from specific-use quantification up to full assessments in line with regulations.
